All your payments are kept secure and encrypted. We never see your card details – they are automatically passed straight through Paypal. All your other details, like previous payments, are secured with bank-grade encryption.

Our team is based in Oxford University and we've experienced the classic student problem of transferring money between friends (ugh, finding exact change to pay for that takeaway or waiting for your friend to send bank account transfer details for a £3.50 sandwich), and so we built Cashew.

Down the road, we're planning to open up features to easily pay restaurants, corner shops and coffee chains with your phone. Paying via Cashew will always be free.
